I?m writing this review while in my apartment that I pay $600 a month for but yet have to park 2,3, or 4 buildings away from at times. There are 4 Chasewood Downs trucks that, even though they have their own garage and driveway to park in behind a building, park in resident?s spaces all the time. I have to walk a pretty good distance loaded with groceries or laundry (in the dark!)just to get to my $600 apartment. Then if something is wrong (like the light that illuminates the breezeway so that you can see to unlock your door at night suddenly goes out and you are plunged into blackness) it takes 8 days to fix it. AND THAT IS JUST A LIGHT BULB CHANGE! Nevermind that they tell you they are going to replace your kitchen cabinets-have everything cleared out within 24 hours- then they decide that they aren?t going to replace your cabinets so you just wasted a huge amount of your time. Then 2 weeks later they decide that they are going to replace your cabinets- yeah, you get to do it all over again! You have to call at least 3 times before any maintenance will be performed on your apartment. But every time you call you are assured that someone will be on it that very day. Funny how it sometimes takes two weeks. Oh yeah, then there are the people who leave their trash outside their doors, so that mice and other nice vermin decide to come into your apartment. Chasewood is supposed to be monitoring this practice. They said it came to their attention during one of their "daily maintenance inspections", funny how this practice has been going on almost every day since I moved in sometime in May 2002 and it is now Feb. 2003. That must be one long day! Overall, management is horrible and the undergraduates that they rent to (whose mommy and daddy pay the rent, so they don?t have to be responsible for anything)make the experience even worse.

I am looking at all of the reviews. Where are any new ones? It doesn't seem like there are any comments past January, 06 except for "hokieforever" and "MrHokie04". There has to be some others both positive and negative. There can't be only the three of us looking into Chasewood Downs!
