After five years in Blacksburg I have to say that my one year in FoxRidge is comparable to all other complexes in the burg in the fact that it's just the same. Sure people stay up all hours of the night, creaks and noises can be heard on the first and second floors, and it can takes days to get minor repairs completed, but what apartment building doesn't have any of this'

I feel like FoxRidge is a good deal for the money, it's the largest community around, the unlimited parking is a bonus (especially in Blacksburg), and the grounds are kept up quite nicely. The only cons against it are that it's the farthest complex away from campus, the rednecks seem to party the hardest and they're abundant in FoxRidge, and that the age of the complex (late 70s - early 80s) is starting to catch up with it as some apartments are desperately needed to be remodeled.

You have to weight the pros and the cons and I feel that this is a very fair portrayal of FoxRidge. On the other side of town I would rate it right there with Terrace View as in terms of price and what you get. The only major complexes that are a step above FoxRidge or Terrace View would have to be the Village, Collegiate Suites, Pheasant Run, and Maple Ridge, but often the price of these places puts them out of range for many.
