Best bang for your buck in Blacksburg

I lived in Foxridge for 4 years. Yes the neighbors are noisy. The complex in a huge college town, with 95% of residents being students, what do you expect' The price for what you get is one of the best from talking to friends who live in other places. Its not the farthest away from campus, the bus ride from Tom's Creek is just as long. The apartments are huge, assuming you are socialable your neighbors can be amazing, some can suck. The cable and internet are fine, other than usual complaints with providers Comcast is fine. This town loves their college football, so expect noise when there is a game, people drink, and set off fire works. Go to any other Division 1 school and you'll see the same. Yes the walls are a bit thin, I have been at other complexes in Blacksburg and major cities, they are all about the same. The people in the office are a little hard to deal with because their personale have a high turnover. They have a lot of rules because they are owned by a national property management company HHHunt. I'm in a new state they have just as many rules here, if not stricter ones. If you want to leave your apartment, either find someone to replace you or just pay off your rent. Other places you can get out of your lease but you still have to pay off the money you owe. The maintenance people are knowledgable and quick. The grounds are great, most places that tell you to pick up after your animal don't enforce that rule enough anyway. The poop everywhere is going to happen no matter where you go. Your safetly far as Foxridge can go is good, since the complex is not in a major city with mainly people that are attaining a Bachelors Degree or have a Doctoral. Your safety is mainly on you and your habits no matter where you go. Some of the buildings need upgrades and fixtures and appliance could be more modern, but a lot of complexes don't update them as much as new homes would be, it's too much money for them to spend without jacking up the rent. Far as ammenties, cost of rent, size of unit, the parking situation, and community Foxridge is your best bet. The complex has been voted best apartment complex in Blacksburg several times.
