Knollwood

 

I absolutely hate living in Knollwood.

I have been in Blacksburg for five years and I lived in Foxridge before Knollwood.

I enjoyed Foxridge and I only moved because I decided I would 'step it up'.

I didn't realize I'd be making such a big mistake.

The exterior of the apartments are nice and the interiors have nice floorplans but everything else is awful.

I started to get sick and was in-and-out of the doctor's office.

It turned out I was allergic to mold and my apartment was the cause.

The ice cube maker in the refrigerator was spitting out ice cubes made with moldy water.

The ice cubes smelled like mold as well so I called management and maintenance came in and said 'clean out your ice bucket' and 'buy some baking soda'.

So I did all of the above and when I put the ice tray back in I heard the ice maker spitting out the new cubes and I smelled them.

They reeked of mold again.

I called management again and I never heard anything back.

Now I buy bottled water for myself and my dog.

My garbage disposal was leaking and I called with that problem.

It took three weeks for maintenance to fix it.

I had a pitcher under my sink catching the dirty water.

The toilet in the hallway bathroom was leaking and it took them almost a month to fix that.

It got so bad that the vinyl in that bathroom was warped and had mildew spots everywhere.

Maintenance acted like they were doing me a favor by saying I wouldn't have to pay for it.

Parking is bad.

If you get home anytime after 9pm you have to park in the overflow lot and walk a good ways to your building.

Management is awful.

They're rude and threaten to evict you for rules they decided to make up.

They don't follow the lease and if you mention that they get mad and threaten to fine you.

All-in-all I wouldn't recommend any apartment owned by Chase Management.

Save your money, your health, and keep your stress level down by living somewhere else like Foxridge or Terrace View.
