Terrible place to live. I live there for one year, 2005 2006 and hated every moment of it. Walls were paper thin, could hear everything going on in all the apartments around me. Stairwell was super noisy. Loud steps, slamming doors and the wind whipping through would wake anyone up from the deepest sleep. The thin walls and the fact that all the molding peeled from layers of old paint I felt like I was living in a paper mache box. In addition, maintenance was terrible, so were the ladies working in the main office and don t count on getting any of your security deposit back if you only live there for a year. They will nickel and dime you in the check out process and deduct money from your return for things that were broken before you even arrived. They also check over your apartment after you leave with a magnifying glass and will charge you for every tiny bit of dust they find and every tick mark that was left on the walls we left our apartment spotless and got $34 back from our $630 security deposit.
Cheep terrible place.

You couldn't be more right...I lived in the little ranchers so there wasn't a floor below or on top of us but they sucked. old, dirty, moldy, nasty, nothing worked, ceiling fan barely attached to the ceiling and i HATED susan and whatever her name was in the office. they were RUDE and talked about everyone behind their backs. AWFUL place to live - dont go! they also find every reason to charge you fines for stuff...its insane.

I saw your note online and wanted to reply. I too had some issues and all of us sound like the issues are the same. I am tired of people taking advantage of our hokie kids. I am a parent who is moving forward to obtain an attorney and would like to speak with many of you to include in a single case. I will need information in order to properly file a claim against the Management Firm behind Oakbridge Apartments for charging us misc fees and keeping the deposits plus some in order to fix normal wear and tear on the units.
Can you help me? My son is still down at Tech, but this issue has not gone away from last semester.
Please drop me an e-mail or call me so we can chat about this place and the issues that you had. It would be very helpful to prepare a case for all of us versus one of usĀ?
