I lived here for a little over a year while attending Virginia Tech. The price was very reasonable. Additionally, the maintenance staff was always responsive and I never had to wait long for them to show up to fix anything. Management was very nice as well, and the grounds were kept up nicely. There was also usually plenty of parking. The only gripe I had is that I lived on the bottom floor and was unfortunate enough to be below some people who were very loud. Blacksburg is a college town, though, so that is to be expected.

Living in a college is no excuse for excessive noise! If people live in an apartment they need to be extra careful to respect their neighbors who live so close to them and keep the noise down. If they enjoy blasting music at all hours of the night they should get a house. Studies have shown how noisy neighbors cause tons of stress to those around them and living in a college town does not make it ok. Talk to your neighbors, call management and call the police. Also note that it is highly likely for you to be hit with harsh rent increases each year you renew your lease.
