I lived in a professional/grad area for 5 years (building 1800). Overall, I enjoyed staying there, and think it is one of the better places to live in BB.

Good stuff: They allow you to make upgrades with each renewed lease which is nice. All of my maintainence problems were handles usually within one day. Any where you live in the complex is convienent to a busline, and they enforce parking rules. The grounds are largely well maintained and they only time I have problems with a loud neighbor, they responded very quickly. Lots of dumpsters for trash and recycling.

Bad Stuff: Some parts of the complex can get loud. If you want a quiet place to live, I would only live in a professional area, but you may end up living near Patrick Henry which has a lot of traffic. There is dog crap EVERYWHERE in the grass! Do NOT walk anywhere but on the sidewalks. Each building has 1 communal washer and dryer.

Given its location to campus and bus lines, as well as my experience with management responding to problems quickely, I had a great experience here. However, I did notice that every year the grounds became louder, so if I couldn't live in a professional area, I would not likely go back.
