I have lived here for 2 years. We were planning to renew and the deadline was Feb. 15th. They already assigned our apartment to someone else! before the deadline! (just because a roommate mentioned we might not be living here next year). The people that work here are idiots. Even though in the lease, it says we have to give them written notice by the 15th, they still didn't give us our apartment back. If we had the money we would sue.
