numerous problems with property management

Having lived in this apartment complex for 4 years now, I've been around long enough to see the care of the property deteriorate dramatically. For starters, the appliances and interior of the apartments are below par for the area. There have been numerous crimes commited on the property in the past year. My vehicle has been broken into and vandalized on separate occasions. Other vehicles have been stolen, had the wheels removed, and another had the engine stolen! Property management is slow to respond to maintenance calls and has accumulated quite a bit of deferred maintenance throughout the property. In some cases, siding is pulling away from the buildings. Litter is common and is rarely cleaned up. Provisions within the lease regarding the types of vehicles forbidden to be parked (huge recreational vehicles, over-sized trucks, and boats) on the premises are not enforced, making it a difficult living and parking situation for all residents. In addition, more lighting is needed in the parking lots. Property management is so inattentive to the residents' needs, I'm very disappointed in their lack of following through with their commitment to keep the property nice and their lack of care for the safety and well being of their residents. Needless to say, it's time for me to move and I wouldn't recommend anyone else place themselves in the difficult and often frustrating position of living on this property.
