I have been living here for almost 2 years, I moved to Burke from the Landmark area of Alexandria, and compared to that, Burke is paradise! I loved my apartment from the first day we lived there, while it wasn't as big as my previous one, it felt more like home. I haven't had many maintenance issues, but when I have, it was resolved quickly. Also haven't had to deal with the Management office much, but when I have they were always helpful and nice. As with any apartment it has its annoyances, like sometimes hearing the upstairs neighbor(not voices, if I hear them at all it is if their music is loud and the bass comes through, or if someone is jumping around) and the sound from outside travels in a lot, but luckily it is a quiet neighborhood for the most part. I love the location and it is in a great school district for my daughter. I have read reviews that people said that the appliances were old and didn't work right, but I live in one of the renovated units and all of my appliances are new and work very well. Parking there could be better, but I've seen worse. I have really liked it there these past 2 years and I will be renewing my lease again.
