Terrible place to live

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2000
I lived at Bent Tree for my first 2 1/2 years after college since the rent in Centreville USED to be cheaper than Fairfax, Arlington, etc. My rent went from $745 when I moved in to $1000 when I moved out for a small one bedroom.
The parking was horrendous. There is a metro bus stop in the back of the complex and commuters would just park in the lot because residents didn?t have parking stickers or assigned spots. Everything was open game. If I ever went out at night I knew I was in for a hike from my car to my apt.
As someone else wrote, the air conditioner units are placed DIRECTLY beneath the bedroom windows and the sound is horrible. I never once opened my windows the whole time I lived there.
I also noticed the extremely large number of people who lived in one apartment. Everywhere you would see huge extended families coming out of one apartment that couldn?t have had more than 3 bedrooms and there were at least 10 people who lived there.
The office staff is also sketchy and completely unfriendly. Everytime I went to pick up a package from the office I was treated like I had ruined their entire day.
I finally got so fed up that I actually broke my lease and moved out!
