Not awful, not awesome

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
Around when I moved in earlier this year, the complex was bought by another company, and I think they've tried to address several of the issues other people have raised here. I've only heard of one theft since I moved in, and I think that while it sucks for the person it happened to, that stuff does just happen.
When I moved into my apartment, there was an outlet that was blown out in the living room, and they came the very next morning to fix it, and I didn't alert them to the problem until 4 pm the previous day. I've never had any issues with the office people, and they have only ever been extremely nice, helpful and polite with me, but then again, I have not yet had any major issues. They are very pet friendly, though pet rent is fairly expensive in comparison to other places.
On the other hand, for being so far from DC, it is pretty expensive. Also, they started to do complex wide repainting on the stairs, and just stopped half way through without finishing, so it's looked pretty crappy for over a month now. Also, when I got my cat, they left the copy of my whole resigned lease on my front step which had my SS # on it, so I was peeved at that.
So, basically, it isn't as bad as some people say, and it isn't as good as others think. I think it's fairly average for the DC area - overpriced and not too attentive to detail, but not horrible.
