I chose to move to Bet Tree Apartments based on the location and the small dog park at the front of the property. I have now lived here for a year and a half in total disapointment. Let me say first that I would have moved out already but I moved here from out of state and am looking for a house and do not want to move again before my home purchase. The exeperience has been poor.
The apartment itself is in sad shape. the walls are not square and the sliding glas door leading to the patio will not shut all the way. Some of the duct work from the furnace does not seem to allow for air flow which leaves even rooms with vents very cold in the winter. The appliances in my apartment have several problems that have been brought to the attention of the management without proper repair. The grounds and common areas are always very dirty and poorly maintained with trash in al the stairways. My neighbor has had several bags of garbage outside their door for about 6 weeks but my complaints haev not been followed up on. The $200.00 amentity fee goes towards the pool, hot tub, and gym but the gym equiptment is in need of repair and the hot tub has never been open since I moved in. I have called about that as well. The development seem to be very liberal in the application process as some of the tenents do not seem to work and do not maintain their surroundings. Noise at night is a major problem and on any given night as I walk my dog around the development, you can watch tow trucks quickly reposessing cars in the parking lot. I do not like for my wife to walk the dog at night. The staff is ok, bu tthe Assistant Property Manager and Manager will not return your voicemails within a reasonable amount of time and aer rarely availiable in the office.
I work for the local government in an agency where we are all required to know the area very well. When a co-worker asks me where I live, I tell them that I am looking for a house and leave it at that.
