If it weren't for Tim...

We have lived at Bent Tree for 2 years, and are ecstatic to finally be able to move. When they raise our rent for the year to come, we told them the price they were charging was ridiculous for a small 1BR/1BA. We tried to ask why they were offering 2BR/2BA specials to new residents for less than what we were going to be paying, and they had no answer for us. Additionally, if we were to move to one of the bigger apartments (for less than what we would be paying for our tiny place) we would still have to pay all deposits, damage fees, etc...a total of 1500 in JUST moving costs, not including any rent at all. The entire management seems very dishonest, and I couldn't be happier to get the heck out of here. If it weren't for Tim (the Resident Services Manager), we would've moved a lot sooner. He is very helpful, always looking out for us, and making sure we are happy. The office staff on the other hand is simply ridiculous, a group of young adults with no better job options than to work at an apartment complex and make people miserable.

Hey TravelerElite,
Question to you is... have you EVER lived at Bent Tree? Probably not and if you have well it wasn't with the new management that has been there only a year or so. I agree with this person...the staff is rude... and agree Tim was awesome!!! He was actually looking to become the manager of the rental office, but not sure if that happened. And what this person says about the current restidents rent being hire than the new comes is true as well. Also, if you don't carefully document everything when you move in and when you move out they will charge you regardless if it was you or not. They charged me for cleaning the carpet for one spot that needed to be spot cleaned.... Number one they should be cleaning the carpets regardless... I had given them a deposit and they still charged me. I had no pets and lived alone and before you repsond and tell me I must have been dirty.... well I wasn't. This site is where you can express what you feel you have NO right to judge other people...there are plenty of people on here that have NEGATIVE responses about Bent Tree...Take a hint!!

I can see how full sentences and big words could confuse you.... An attention span is a terrible thing, is it not?

I started to read your response, then realized it was much too wordy and there wasn't really a true point. I'm glad this is a free country and we can banter back and forth the way in which we did, but this is getting old. Hope you feel good about yourself and how much time you spent trying to sound superior.

Good point TravelerElite, nobody ever makes mistakes in writing. I guess I would have to proofread my material for hours on end. I guess I will have to take my BS in mathematics and call it a day.

Be Very Aware! Bent Tree Apartments improperly tow visitor's cars from 8pm till 8am if you don't have a visitor's parking pass visibly shown in your car. They do not post any notices to visitors so it's at your own risk if your friend or relative forgets to tell you. It's automatically $150 to recover your car if you park at a parking spot even with half the lot empty and no signs for towing if you don't have a pass.

I have to admit. The parking is ridiculous. They start towing promptly at 8pm as the previous post states, no warning or sign up. Plus- you're only given ONE visitor pass per apartment. The hours either need to be later or the more than one visitor pass need to be given to each apartment.

there is a major pest problem at this facility and they are holding off on long overdue reworking of the buildings. there are many unresolved issues, in several units (we know b/c we've lived in three - in three different buildings so far, over the past three years). they let tenants move in to apartments that have unresolved issues and then make it difficult to get the problem resolved. they work to temporarily remedy the situation, rather than resolve it. this is probably why the buildings are in the shape they are. recently, a maintenance employee let us know that this is very common, and that he himself is getting tired of underpaid staffers not doing their job (though he agreed that they are only going to do what they are paid for). management makes life uncomfortable, and i'm not talking about for problem-tenants, i'm referring to those who pay on time and are problem-free clients. having water leaks, constant pest problems, hvac issues, etc. does not make you a problem tenant, it makes the the facility a problematic one. additionally, they are very unorganized and have twice tried to charge ourselves (and a tenant in another building whom we just met, actually) pay for unrelated fees. in other words, they tried to collect fees which were not valid or even linked to the unit being charged. in three years this place has gone down the drain. adding to the guy up top, Tim is the only person on your side, the only real one. But the manager, the assistant manager are not honest persons. once again, we are not upset about prices, and are not blaming them for pests, etc. but they are not taking responsibility, atleast not to the extent they should. secondly, and most of all, the management's personalities of defense, without hearing stories, w/o hearing the facts, is just remarkable and offensive. we are working with attornies to file three complaints. we arent alone, and are letting everyone on this board know b/c there are so many injustices within this office, management, etc. the facility problems, the lack of resolve in those areas, etc. just provided examples of situations where these individuals were given chances to address and do their part, but failed at miserably...
