I have lived at the Elms for four years and love it. The rent has gone up tremendously, but it has been well worth it. Both the maintenance staff and the office staff are (and have always been) extremely accomodating and nice. I guess because I've lived here for so long, they all know my name as I'm entering the office (for a package or whatnot). Requests for fixes on things is immediate. They are actually over-proactive in maintaining the apartment complex...which one can hardly complain about. They replace air filters and empty out dryers regularly. Recently the complex went through an extensive repiping, which took 5 days total in each apartment. No issues whatsoever regarding that. During the winter, all sidewalks are salted within hours of snowfall, and driveways are cleared out. It took me a couple months to get used to the sirens (a firehouse is right down the street), but now don't even notice them. Unfortunately my roommate (and brother) of the past 5 years is moving and I can't afford the place by myself or I would stay. The only other complaint I might have is that parking gets crazy and annoying when the soccer moms come around (my building is right by the soccer field). They always park in the complex in reserved spots or on the street, crowding the area way too much.
