I've been living here for about 4 months and it's been an unpleasant experience from the very beginning.

They didn't bother to make sure that the appliances in the apartment worked before we moved in. The dryer didn't work and still doesn't. One of our bedroom doors was broken when we moved in. They still haven't been by to fix it. We didn't get a mail key when we moved in because the previous renter still had the key, so we had to wait a week before we could even get our mail. Our cable wasn't ready for use when we moved in. The staff is very unpleasant and won't get anything done until you complain about the same thing three or four times. I could go on and on.

There is an extra expense for living "lakeside" when there should actually be a discount because you have to look at the disgusting ponds every day. The same trash has been floating around the ponds all summer. They literally look like cesspools (See picture). The grounds here are not kept very clean. One of our neighbors threw his trash on the roof. This was there for almost a week until I cleaned it up myself because the stench was unbearable.

One good thing: the parking is great, but probably because no one wants to live at this dump. Avoid at all costs.

I've lived here almost a year, and the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. The grounds have always been kept clean. A few times a week I see someone going around collecting any trash in the parking lot etc. I normally see this when I'm heading to work in the mornings. Snow removal has been great as well. Everything was in working condition when I moved in. If I had to rate Lakeside I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
