I had a good impression of the complex when I toured it with the leasing consultant. The building and groups were very nice on the outside, but it ends there.

I lived at this apartment complex for nearly 2 years. I won't be renewing my lease. Here are a number of reasons why.

The apartments are not in good shape on the inside.

-The appliances are old, noisy, and tend to not work very efficiently. I have to run the dryer 3 cycles to dry one load. The dishwasher sounds like a freight train.

-The apartments are poorly ventilated. It is very cold in the winter. It is also very hot in the summer. My apartment this past summer has been at 80F with the AC running all day.. it could not cool it down enough the entire summer. It's a very uncomfortable place to live in these conditions.

-Bugs. You cannot open your windows, because you will end up with a ton of ants and spiders coming in....and thats with the screen on the windows. There are spiders all over this complex.

-Parking is a huge problem here. Spaces are tight. Last winter, they did such a poor job plowing that we ended up parking on top of huge mounds of snow and ice.. Garage parking is available for $150/month.

-Rent increase. My rent went up $300 for renewal. These apartments are NOT worth that much... they are not luxury by any means. Fortunately there are numerous options available to move to.

-Mail service is terrible. I cannot tell you how many times I've received someone else's mail. The mail person that delivers our mail doesn't have a clue what he/she is doing. I was late paying my COX bill a few times cause it was delivered to my neighbors box instead... and he just tossed the bills in the trash.

-Noise. There is noise from low flying aircraft. If you look at on the map, this properly lines up with arrival onto runway 1R at Washington Dulles International Airport.

I think there are better options available. This place is way overpriced for what you get.
