I am happy with Post Corners for the most part. Parking is plentiful and the gated community keeps out non-residents from parking wherever they please and banging up your car when they get out. The landscape is second to none. Maintenance is great and relatively quick to respond to your requests (usually a day or two depending on the severity of the issue). Post normally holds little events about once a month (usually involving free food for the most part). The staff is very friendly and the turnover rate is actually pretty low. One thing to look out for is the apparent flooding these apartments are prone to. I have yet to experience flooding in my apt, but I see the Flood-Tech truck at the development at least 2 times a week almost. My only gripes are the noise. The planes that come into Dulles are fine, as they only come over a few times a day. Fast Eddie's bar is also very noisy Friday and Saturday nights. Post Corners is quite expensive but ive recognized that if you move from apartment to apartment its actually cheaper. Post knows that moving is a pain in the ass so what they do every year is bump up your rent considerably knowing that you dont really wanna move and will just pay. I went from a one bedroom to a two bedroom here and I was payin 1190 for the smallest one bedroom apt they had, only to turn around and on their site they only charged 1085 (what I paid for it back in 2005). So just switch apartments every year to keep the best rate. Overall, its a nice place to live, much better than some other local places I have lived at in the past.
