I work for an airline and girlfriend and I decided to move in here. We drove down 28 to get to 95 and noticed the Centreville area, and some other people pointed out this was a nice city. I am from Chicago, and for some reason this area reminds me of the Schaumburg suburb of Chicago (upscale neighborhood). There is ALOT of stuff near here! Grocery store across the street, a Trader Joe's as well, and everything you could ask for with no traffic right by home. Only issue is there are big intersections with long traffic lights during the day, but it's easy to make a few right turns with a u-turn to get around the lights.
First thing I noticed coming here was the gated community and the pleasant staff. We interacted with Jay the hole time, as long as two other representatives (I'm sorry I don't remember both of their names) but they were all VERY helpful and friendly, as well as meeting to our needs. We saw our apartment and it was freshly painted with new carpet when Jay showed us the apartment.
After we moved in, we had some gripes, and maintenance came and fixed everything in a timely matter. There is a bar right next door as well. All in all, we've been here for 3 weeks and signed a 1 year lease, and I have no issues at all with the community at all. Everyone here seems friendly, and there's 4 state trooper cars right by my apartment, so I'm gonna make sure to park my car as close as possible just because I had an experience in Short Pump, Virginia where someone broke into a friends car and stole some stuff in an ungated community.e
There were some reviews I read about bugs in the area. I have noticed one beetle crawling around, and I picked him up and put him outside. Since then, he hasn't bothered us anymore.

A few things to be aware of, The 150 dollar amenity fee is an annual fee. Your rates will jump about 10% each year if you want to stay in the same apartment. Also if it is a cold winter, you may or may not have a problem with cold showers. I lived in 2 apartments when I lived there and 1 apartment gave me hot water year round. The other did not. Good Luck.
