I feel like a lot of the reviews here are ridiculously critical. For instance, someone saying their dishwasher is broken, but they haven't told the rental office b/c the maintenace staff is "inept"... how is this their fault'! I've had minor mechanical issues, and all have been taken care of within a few days. The only problem I have with the staff is that they don't answer their phones EVER. This place is NOT the ghetto or a slum, if you feel that way you need to get out more. It's safe, I know of know issue of crime in this apartment, and I've been here almost 2 years. Just because there is ethnic diversity does not mean this place is a slum. There was a fire last month, which raises some concerns, but hopefully this means that any fire issues will be taken care of. The walls are well insulated, we never hear our neighbors. Neighbors are nice, or just keep to themselves. Love that we can have dogs here. Apartment is big, airy, everything seemed up to par when we moved in. In short, if you want a luxury apartment with superb service and amenities, you have to pay more. Brookridge offers a decent standard of living for a comparatively low rate, and I'd personally rather keep the rent low. Beggars can't be choosers, suck it up.
