I'm a 2 year resident of Woodway and I've been extraordinarily pleased with my apartment and the complex community. Woodway is must-see if you're scoping out apartments in the area.

The leasing office staff and maintenance team are on top of their game; they're professional, friendly, responsive and quick to resolve any problems--in a word, refreshing. The grounds are constantly well-maintained and attractive. Parking spaces in front of the buildings are plentiful (bonus to the builder!).

The rent is comparable to other apartments in the area, but you'll get more bang for your buck here. My rent did increase more than $100 after my first year here, but other complexes in the C-ville area were doing the same. The market was nuts at that time. The wave of high apt. increases has leveled off some--(my rent went down slightly when I renewed recently.) Consider square-footage and ammenities and compare Woodway's to those of some of the complexes closer in to the beltway (Fairfax, Vienna, etc.), you'll be back here to sign on.

As a female, a safe community to call home is a priority to me. Woodway fits the bill. Building breezeways and the parking areas are well-lit at night. To say that crime has become near epidemic here (as stated in an earlier review), is a gross exaggeration. On occasion, car break-in's happen. Every neighborhood has these problems from time to time.

The residents here are primarily young single and married professionals. There are young families here, but judging by the number of children I see waiting in front of the clubhouse for the schoolbus, from Fall to late Spring, as I leave for work each morning (about 10-15 kids total for 500 apt. units), families in residence are in the minority.

What's left' What I dig most about my place:

*Full-size washer and dryer right off my bedroom (Give the builder a big sloppy kiss. Great logic. It's about time!)
*HUGE walk in closet
*Large kitchen pantry for food storage

What I like least:
*Poor sound insulation between apartments

All in all, I'm a very happy Woodway resident. To pass up checking this place out would be a disservice to any apt. hunter.
