I lived here for my fourth year at UVa and overall it was an okay experience, but I was coming out of a horrific third-year apartment so perhaps my view was skewed. I was in a 2 bed/1 bath with a working professional. Only one parking spot per apartment, which I took (never had a problem) but my roommate had to either find spots on Brandon Ave (nearly impossible during the week) or park in the nearby University lot and risk getting a ticket. When I had friends or family visit they never had a place to park and that was annoying.

However, awesome location. All my classes were in Cabell or Wilson so I always got up 5 minutes before class. If you're a student, you really can't get much closer to grounds. It's also close to the Corner (restaurants, some shopping), the hospital, and is close to the UTS and CTS lines.

Clearly the apartments are old, but you can't be too picky if you're looking for student housing close to UVa. Two of the walls inside were brick which looked nice. Ours had a tiny kitchen and a sliding glass patio, but it was dirty out there the the door didn't slide too well. The bathroom got moldy and so did my blinds in my room. Some things didn't work, maintenance usually responded promptly but wasn't always consistent. Laundry room in the building but no quarter machine.

Slightly overpriced in my opinion, you really do pay for the location. I went from paying 350 for a room in a house to 425 to a small apartment room. Noise not a huge problem (never had to complain and was never complained to). I would've lived here again but I'm moving away from the area. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
