Lakeside is lovely... especially in the spring when all the trees are in bloom. The staff is great, and everything is very well maintained. There is a very cool game room, exercise room, pool and hot tub, tennis court, vollyball court, and a lake that you can take a supplied paddleboat or canoe out on to. The balconies are giant, and have lovely views either of Carter Mountain one way or the Blue Ridge facing the other. When friends came to visit, they felt like they were staying at a resort! The complex hosts monthly get-togethers, wine tastings, pool parties, etc. Very nice atmosphere. Dogs and cats are welcome. If there are apartments in Heaven, I bet they'd be like these!
