The best part is the outside. Effort has been put into landscaping. The lake is nice to look at, though I wouldn't get into the water with all the algae and goose waste. Many non-residents come to fish in it. Movie room is really cool, but it is starting to become difficult to book due to high volume. Clubhouse costs $200 cash deposit plus a $200 fee to rent (other properties rent clubhouse to tenants for a refundable deposit). Weight room is very small and generally warm in the mid-70s. Not ideal for cardio with the warm temperature and lack of ventilation. Unwilling to accommodate short lease terms for current residents - say they are "too dependent on potential student tenants in August." Apartment is very old. Can hear upstairs neighbors very clearly. My kitchen really should be advertised as a kitchenette with the lack of counter space. No microwave. Old carpeting has little cushioning and wrinkles up. Bathtub is cracked and has deep depressions in the bottom. Toilet is the smallest I've ever seen. Old laundry machine, and dryer is so old it does not meet electrical code. Hot water heater only holds enough water for one very quick shower. We pick up several ticks when we walk outside. Dog owners are good about picking up pet waste. Maintenance responds quickly to requests, and I've had great experience with them. I think the apartment is extremely expensive for being so old and located out of town. I also think it is very small for the price, though there is nice closet space.

I think Lakeside is a good cost. Drive less than 1/2 mile to Stone Creek and you'll pay 30% more easily. I agree the place is very old (building was just built in 1995 though)and the cabinets, appliaces, interiors could be updated but for the newly renovated clubhouse, 12 acre lake, great pool & hot tub, dog park and convenience to a high school track it's great for exercise. During the warm months no one should be using that "warm" weight room anyway. Should be outside enjoying the weather. That 70 degress feels great in the colder months
