Too pricey for an apartment

First off let me say this is a nice complex and the staff is very friendly. However for the money you should buy a condo. They are too overpriced and parking is horrible!! If you get home after 4:30pm of if you plan to go out for dinner, you should plan on not having a place to park when you get back. My rent took a huge spike and I'm not sure for what. Keeping the grounds nice and repaving the parking lot are both nice but I don't know why the rent is so costly. No wonder there are three vacant apartments in my building. My suggestion is this... save your money and own. The *rent* here is too much. You'll NEVER get a tax break yet your basically paying a mortgage for an APARTMENT!!!!!!

Have you compared the cost of these apartments to any others? Yes the rent might be "pricey" but they are nice apartments. While you might be able to pay the same in a mortgage payment on a cheap condo did you think about the additional condo fees and real estate tax that you will have to pay as well as the cost of any repairs needed. If you are that unhappy there move out and buy a cheap condo.
Also you said your rent took a huge spike so you must have renewed your lease in order for your rent to change. If the cost is really that bad why didn't you just move out?

I must agree 100% with the previous response to this review. If you had shopped around to check out other apartment complexes in the area, you would definitely know that you get your money's worth here. Any place that's cheaper is going to be of lower quality, and of the complexes that charge about the same, none of them are as nice.
The only way your rent can go up is if you renew your lease. Before you even sign the paperwork to do so, you are presented with information detailing exactly how much your rent will go up should you choose to renew. If you already thought you were paying too much, why wouldn't you just move somewhere else or go buy a condo when your lease ended, as you've previously suggested? Perhaps you encountered problems taking your own advice. It wouldn't surprise me.
Good luck finding any place to live in this area, rent or own, that's as nice as Adalay Bay for the same price or cheaper.
