Arbor Glen has a $100 cleaning fee in the lease. You expect when you move that the $100 will be used for the basic cleaning. NO! I was told at my move-out inspection (which I had to beg for)that the $100 was actually a turn-over the key fee-WHAT! They had the nerve to take more money out of my deposit for cleaning. Cleaning that never happens, because when I moved into my apartment I had to clean for 3 days. I found papers behind the kitchen drawers dated back to the 80's and what I found behind my stove was scary, and my rugs had bleach spots everywhere. I felt so bad that I had signed the lease before I actually got to see my apartment. I was told I would lose my deposit I had put down if I didn't want the apartment. So I stayed and made that apartment out of a home and for them to try to keep something that is not theirs is WRONG! I am going to get my money back and prevent this from happening to future tenants.

The loss of the $100 fee is true, but they tell you that when you move in. However it isn't simply a turn the key over fee, it goes toward replacing the toilet seat, lighting fixtures, door knobs, repainting and replacing the carpet which they do before each new tenent. I have no idea how you hade bleach stains. I suspect they may have actually been paint? They also patch and nail holes from hanging on the walls etc so that you don't have to do it when you move out. As far as papers dating back to the 80's...lol! These apartments weren't even built yet in the 80's!!
