Birches

 

The Birches, where do I start.

Don't move in! I moved in early 2004.

In that time period I have a long list of things that have gone wrong and a short list of things that have gone right.

Our first incident was a sewage back up.

We just got back from vacation.

We walked in the front door to a horrible smell.

Sewage had backed up in the main for the 12 common apartments.

It backed up it through the bathtubs, bathroom sinks, toilet and the airhandler drain.

Their was a brown scum that look like paper pulp everywhere the sewage went.

The carpets were soaked with filth.

We called the office and they said they would send someone out to clean the carpets.

The carpets were cleaned and then I demanded to have my bathrooms cleaned.

This took till the following day.

The carpets were not replaced.

The next event was termites.

One morning woke up and black termites in my kitchen.

They were all over the floor.

This event took a month to resolve.

Aprox 3 months after the first sewage backup.

I sucked up some of the fluid with a carpet cleaner, and put it a container.

I went to the office and and they told me that I needed to go to the maintence office and that the leasing office didn't deal with that stuff.

Well just finding someone was a all day event.

They told me that they would replace the carpets affected with the sewage.

So the changed all but one room.

They were to cheap to just do the complete thing.

So now I have one different colored room.

Next was the dishwasher.

They came out after 16 days of contacting the office.

I was told they would replace it.

Another 2 weeks went by.

In that 2 weeks I contacted they 5 times.

They told me that they would replace the pump in the old one.

When I had drove by the maintence shed and seen a new one.

I went over enraged and demaned a new one.

They did so after another 1 week.

The next event was the snake in the kitchen.

I went into the kitchen to feed my dog, picked up his bowl to realize there was a snake there.

I captured it and removed it.

I have seen other snakes around(outside)the place.

As you can tell the place is horrible.

The maintence is slower then slow.

I would not wish this on my worst enemy!! What ever you do dont move in.

Oh and the rent just went up again.

dont't fall for the grounds keeping.
