Bad Place to Live

I have live in this complex before & was very happy to move out.
The office staff treats you like crap for no reason.
The maintience people don't come when they are supposed to, because like the office staff they like to go over to Greenbrier Mall.
Maintience spend all day over there.
They groungs are snake infested, as well as termite problems.
I have heard reports of people getting bit by the snakes & no one in the office even cares.
They don't clean the carpets before you move in or they didn't in mine & that is a law in Virginia.
They charge you a water bill each month & no one knows how they figure that up it seems like they just make it up.
Or when someones pipes broke & water was coming out they didn't fix it.
In the winter the pipes constantly break out in the ground so you are without water for all day.
If the pipes are bad enough they are breaking that much then maybe they need to be redon with new pipes.
The balconies made of wood get moldy during spring, summer, & fall.
If your AC unit starts leaking they don't fix it properly & they don't clean up the water properly so you have mold growing in your apartment.
The walls are paper thin & the floors are so your neighbors can hear you walking all the time.
They enter your apartment with out notice the day before or leaving a not to tell you someone was in there.
They should at least tell you someone was in your apartment.
When they do inspections they only allow like 15 days & then they also tell you they will put a note on your day before, that doesn't happen & they take longer than 15 days.
The appliances are old & cause very high power bills.
Without using the AC unit my power bill was at least $100.00 a month.
None of the doors are air tight.
In the mornings if the sun hit just right a line of light came through onto my floor from my front door.
They refused to fix it so that contributes to high AC & heat bills.
The fire places are ugly & should be eliminated cause the only thing that came down mine was birds.
I never used it.
The showers almost all have mold growing in them when you move in & they refuse to fix it.
The pool is not properly taken care of, they don't put clorine in every day they do it like once a month & put in so much that they have to close the pool for a week.
Basically the Birches are becoming slumlords & the company that owns them is no better.
I made sure when I moved that Great Atlantic did not own the complex.
I called them several times after having to search to find the number because the front office refuses to give it out or an address to contact them by.
They were no assistance either.
I think that they are a horrible place to live, even though the grounds do look nice.
