i just found this website by accident and i feel like i just have to comment... the birches is NOT what these reviews make it out to be. i love my apartment and have had no issues with "rude staff" and i've found that my maintenance requests, for the most part, get taken care of. i understood when i moved in that it's not a brand new apartment complex, but i'm ok with that because i'm not paying the high rent prices of those newer complexes. believe me, i looked at those too but they were hundreds more per month. so, that's that. the birches is definitely worth considering and i'm really appalled at these bad reviews.
