Not worth the money

My husband and I cannot wait to move out of the Cedars. Our appliances are way outdated, we are infested with bugs, some of our cabinets don't fit into the wall, there is "fixing glue" everywhere, our waterheater broke, we have mismatched (gold/silver)door knobs, our dishwasher doesn't clean anything (even though it was supposedly "fixed)and after ripping out the molding and scratching our walls installing the new slider door and windows, they never came back to fix it! Do not be fooled by the camera tricked-up pictures of the place, or the clever wording of the "free" cable and "resort style" pool. The pool is more like a kiddy wading pool and I'm quite sure the cable is not "free". As far as the "outdoor fitness" they proudly promote, I think I'd rather run down Battlefield then on the 1/2 circle of sidewalk that is covered in poop left by the 1000 and 1 disgusting ducks that COVER the parking lot and grassy areas. The only thing nice in this place is the newly remodeled offices in which the management resides! The one positive about the place is the quick response of the management. If the place was run well though, there wouldn't be the problems there are to begin with. If it was $600 a month to live here, I would have nothing to complain about and would expect these things. But when I am paying close to $1000 a month once they get my water bill, etc, I want it to be nice. The brand new Emperium by the mall is $1000 a month and it's gorguous.

I absolutely, whole heartedly agree with this entire review. Not one thing is mis-stated. Even how management IS timely about addressing maintenance needs, but I've had to call for a repeat visit on the very maintenance that was preformed just days prior, because it wasn't done well. Granted, they do come back and correct the problem, but... it's an inconvenience to me. Hey, that's okay with them. As long as you pay your rent and water bill, further inconvenience to the tenant doesn't concern management. There is absolutely no accountability when it comes to disturbances by other residents. Loud music, domestic disputes, late night balcony mini-parties, vehicle stereos, vehicle car alarms (that's a BIG problem!) All of these matters are covered in the lease as a no-no, but management is very lenient. Don't get me started on the rent. Their reasoning, all the other apartments in the area are raising their rates, so they 'HAVE' to! Dare to be different. Dare to be fair! Make a statement by keeping it real! Stop being greedy!! Renting has gotten out of control for what you get for it. Turnover is very frequent here.
