Horrible Place to Live

Well, where should I start...' This apartment complex started off relatively nice and then it went totally down hill!!

The maintenance staff is a total joke; all you see them accomplish is digging in the trash, finding useful castaways, and then sell them on the property. How pathetic, I even wonder if they have a small peddler's license.

Next, there seem to be no set hours for when people can move in and out. The neighbors we had moved in at 11:00pm and when they moved out ironically enough it was at 11:00pm once again.

I am in agreence with other residents regarding there are no strict policies and procedures enforced. Upon signing the lease, it is stated, all curtains must have white backing". It is really discouraging to see other apartments with orange or red sheets hanging from the windows.

Next the cigarette butts in front of most of the complexes are like a bonfire getting ready to burn. At first, the lawn service i.e. basnight incorporated used to pick up the butts. Now they put them in a nice pile for someone else to pick up. Cause, maintenance is lazy and they will not pick it up, and figure the butts will blow away on their own. Not to mention, it is so nice when residents stand in their smoke pit, i.e. "breezeway" and leave their burning cigarettes on the stairs because they are drunk and running around with no pants looking for their place. If my place burns down due to the negligence of some drunken smoker, the next word Alta Cove will here is, "Sue" and that is a girl's name also".

Nothing worse to walk out your front door, and see a smelly leaky, sopping wet trash bag with i.e. dirty diapers thrown in front of their door. One word, "priceless" which sits there on a 1 to 4 day basis. Imagine the stench in the summer time.

The dog refuge is the size of horse turds. I feel like I am walking on a horse farm. Maybe maintenance that is always out and about, not doing anything except what suits them for the day should pick up the doggy remains. Isnt that what groundskeeper means' You know management and the cronies do not leave the building except for lunch and happy hour.

The grills never have maintenance done on them. The propane cans are mostly empty except during the summer time, knobs are broken or stolen. But what difference does it make' So, some of the residence decided that I can bbq on my balcony. This is illegal in the state of Virginia.

Hoodlums from the birches are always making themselves at home at the pool, and computer and weight room. Pretty good deal with them. They do not have to pay. This is out of control along with the noise. During the summer, there is no monitoring of who lives here and who doesn't.

Parking is really neat. There are many residents who think they are exempt from the rules on this subject. They park wherever and whenever they want making it hard for other residents to park. I am curious how this pit pass thing will be working for some people who have more than 3 vehicles hogging the front of most buildings. Towing' What a joke. It is just a metal sign to fool the residents. For they have come through to tow an owner's vehicle which was requested by the residence. The pods. Remember those cool things that hog two parking stalls and stay for a long period of time. Gee, this reminds me of the ghetto, only thing missing is the graffiti on the pod.

Finally the office staff, what a joke. If you have a problem, handle it at your level, or just ignore the problem. Bye the way, the welcome center is completely filthy... here is some advice, before you make the mistake like we did' "Run like Hell". Live on the streets or in a motor home at rest stop and have a p.o. box.
