Greenbrier Woods on the Lake
< | >
When I was searching for apartments I kept reading reviews on all the places, and I am honestly glad i didnt listen to the reviews for Greenbrier. When I came to look at the apartments, the staff was friendly, the apartment was a decent size and I liked the area, and the apartment had what I needed to I went for it, although I was nervous since the reviews werent great, it ended up being a great desicion. Rent is cheaper than i found anywhere else, the staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. I put a trouble call in and it was fixed that same day. I had a flat tire and the maintance guys even helped me change it. Whenever I have packages at the front office the ladies would help me carry it to my car. So far everything has been going great and I have lived here for 7 months now.

It can be a great lace to live Chesapeake is way over priced and it is the chepeast place to live. Howevermake sure you do a walk through with the staff and document the condition of the apartment completely. You should do this with any apartment. Personally I liked it there. It was close to everything the staff was good I had a nice view. My maintinece issues were taken care of promptly there was assigned parking and I felt safe. My issues were with what happened after I lived there. They came back on me for repairs and painting which was needed before I moved in. My fiance at the time cried when she saw the condition of hte apartment when we moved in and it was too late to do anything because I was not allowed to look at prior to the move in date because it wasn't ready and when you have a moving truck full of stuff and your starting a new job the next day you are in a difficult situation. I spoke with the staff and I was told not to worry about the carpet paint condition of the counter tops etc. However upon moving out I was hit with charges for damages painting and replacement of the carpet which was already ruined when I moved in and I even doubt that they replaced it any way. Had I gotten these issues documented this would have been a different story but I did not. If you want to live in a cheap place that isn't really that nice then it a great place. My next option was to pay almost $400 dollars more a month than what they were asking. Bottom line you get what you pay for, get everything in writing and you should be fine. I always like being able to walk to Maxwell's across the street and grab a bite and have a drink.
