Not too bad

My roommate and I had a neighbor that lived below us that had a great number of unfounded complaints. An older, retired fellow, he constantly complained about us taking his parking spots (there are no assigned spots) and about our 30 pound dog making too much noise running around on the floor. My roommate and I are above average size men and we never made enough noise for him to complain. I simply think he didn't want us to have a dog, so we were forced to get rid of it. I can't speak for the rest of the residents because my roommate and I are both in the military and spend a lot of time away from home, but this one tenant in particular was quite annoying. He still lives there now, and we are being transferred, so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, the management agreed that the gentleman's claims were exhaggerated and irrelevant, but they essentially told us to "suck it up." For the amount of money we paid a month for our apartment, that's not the right answer. It seemed that the management was afraid to confront this man because he and his wife had been living there for several years, but I had hoped that they would do something about it. If they did, it was transparent to us and didn't work because the complaints didn't stop. Aside from that, it was a pleasurable experience living there and any time we needed a repair done, the workers were there the next day to fix the problem. We did have a problem with a leaky cieling, and the plaster overhead even broke up and fell on my roommate's bed. They fixed the roof, but the cieling is still damaged and I do not believe that my roommate was ever compensated for the damage done to his bed.
