Run from this dump

Run from this dump, aka "best of Chesapeake." The only way that could have heppened is if the apartment staff rigged the voting. Where to begin....rude office staff for one thing. They get rude and upset whenever you report things that need improving. They are also illiterate and never get half the messages right for the maintenance people, who by the way seem as though they are bums who just walked in off the street. Luckily there was eventually one maintenance person who was nice and actually knew something. The monthly newsletter is a joke--full of typos and rules that are never enforced. The place is full of loud, inconsiderate people, most of them young and drunk half the time. They leave beer bottles all over the ground and no one ever picks them up. The cops were called on my neighbors multiple times for loud fighting and the apartment office people acted like I was crazy for reporting them!!! Also, the idea of a "best of Chesapeake" neighborhood usually doesn't involve turing on the news and seeing that police have busted a meth lab a few buildings down from you. The landscapers came only a few times a year. The office walkway is the only place that is actually kept up, isn't that convenient, since you see it from the road. The apartments are old and are not maintained. Old appliances--they were all original from the early 1980s! Carpets were cheap and stained, paint jobs were awful, like an amatuer did them. The parking lot looks like the grand canyon in several spots, and the dumpsters have trash all around them because the pigs who live there are too lazy to lift it up to put it in the dumpster. The office staff rarely enforces the policies, yet they raise prices every few months. $735 for a i br/1bath with a teeny tiny kitchen and a microscopic bathroom is crazy. Take my advice--move down the street--there are some great new places behind the mall and the extra rent is far worth it. These people are going downhill and you don't want to go with them! Move out day will be a celebration, although it takes a looooooooong time until you see your deposit back. Just take some time and look around, and you will find someplace much more worthy of your patronage.
