Once you have maintenance staff posting about how bad things are at this DUMP you know its time to GO!!!

I've lived here for 4 years and I am outta here! Mold problems, constant water leaks in the ceilings, shoddy maintenance, nasty and inexperienced office staff has done it for me. I call and ask a question one day and when I show up to the office no one knows what the HELL I am talking about! Roaches, rats, termites, old as hell appliances that don't work has made me say I'M OUTTA HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Ghetto neighbors, meth labs on site and trash all around my building don't make it no better! Stepping in doggy POOH everytime I leave my home is downright nasty!

I have lived here 10 years. I live in the 1200 block and love it. I have never had a water leak or pests. Why would you have rats and roaches- maybe you should CLEAN. Termites are everywhere this time of year so yeah I have had a swarm of them but the office had my apartment sprayed 2 days later. Why is it the offices fault that you step in dog pooh- that would be your neighbors fault for not picking up. I have a dog and the office has pet owners sign a form that they are to pick up the poop. The maintenance guy who posted was the problem hence he use to work here. So if he knows so much why did he not fix it? Maybe that is why they have had so many managers and maintenance workers- the owners care the employees do not- humm now there is a thought. Oh and the meth lab that was over 5 years ago so it did not even happen when you lived here; so why bring it up other than you are mad!

Obviously anonymous that has been living there for 10 years doesn't know any better. When you've had better, you EXPECT better. Apartments are supposed to be temporary, and you my friend living in Ivystone for ten years is just plain ---hetic. Perhaps your section 8 has given you an opportunity to live in the only ghetto community in Greenbrier.

I have seen alot of changes start to happen here. The office staff is very nice. The maintenance guys are nice as well. The new staff seems to really care. They have started to put out newsletters to keep us informed. Cleaning up the trash- which let me pose this question- how does the trash get there- oh thats right other residents! I have had a few things break in my apartment but all have been fixed within a few days. The comments on the page are very untrue. I have lived here for 2 years and just renewed my lease for another year. I agree with the posting- the management company keeps changing staff because they NEED too. If you read how unhappy people are then you understand the changes. Read the Lease! It is a contract and if you abide by it you should have no problems. I think that some of the comments are coming from people who are part of the problem not part of the solution. Yes the appliances are older ( guess what they were the day you moved in so why complain now) price attracks most people but after the fact you want to complain to get your way. All this complaining about high rent- hello why did you choose to move here? Each person has their reasons. Hey person who posted 4/21/08- ever stop to think about someone other that yourself? Maybe the person who has lived here for 10 years is elderly or disabled; why insult them with a section 8 comment- that truly shows what type of person you are. 300 apartments and you think they know who you are-try asking for a name and talking to that person when you visit the office. Clearly you are a Perfect person- lucky you. The ME Generation needs to wake up and be welcomed to the real world of real people. Next time you want to condemm the people who work here take a moment bend your back and pick up trash! Heck try telling your neighbor to take the trash out of the hall or to pick up after their pet- see how easy that is! Happy apartment hunting to you all! If you are looking for an affordable apartment do not let these postings scare you- go look for yourself.

It seems to me all of these stupid comments are from someone who can't help themselves. Why don't you just give up downing the place when it actually is starting to become soooo much better. If you dont live here you shouldnt have anything to say just because you got fired doesnt mean you have to ruin it for people that need a place to live! I moved in 6 months ago. I have never seen a rat or any other bug for that matter. HELLO everywhere may have bugs here and there but that would be your neighbors fault or yours for that matter not the staff. Get a life bash your x or something get another job stay off the computer.

Even though the management sucks, the mantenance is slow, and the people that run this place are idiots, I have not once seen a roach, mouse, spider, rat, etc. anywhere in my apartment. Honestly, it might be because of the cleaness of your apartment. I have also never had a problem with mold.
