Luxury-Not

I've lived here for about a year. I find maintenance and office staff to be responsive. However, when we showed up to move in there was a mix up and our carpet hand't been replaced. The rep got their carpet in to replace it that day but we wound up moving in around midnight. The kitchen drawer was broken and they replaced it with one that was off center and soon broke off. We don't go out of the patio door often but the screen came off. The exterior of the windows were full of webs and dead bugs and the vinyl was filthy , front and back. That was recently power washed-1st time in the year I've been here. The cabinets weren't cleaned well at all. There are other issues that pertain to the residents not the complex.
Can hear the neighbors washer and dryer as if its in my apartment and tehy tend to do laundry late at night. I can hear them walk acros the floor and can hear entire conversations when I'm in my bathroom and standing near the mechanical closet. I can't hear the neighbors on either side.
Our kitchen exhaust worked the first week and the living room ceiling fan wiggles and squeaks to where I think it will fall off the ceiling.
The apartment has good space. The bedroom is the biggest I've had in an apartment and the walk in master closet is great. It is marketed as a luxury apartment which is laughable. It is overpriced but in line with other apartments in the area.

THe pool is located down the road at its sister property and is quite small to try to accomodate two communities. The fitness room is a joke. I've seen it once but recall a couple of machines, recently the new tv was stolen.

The rent increased just as we moved in last year so I was expecting to be hit at renewal but to my surprise it only increased by $10.

A few of my neighbors think so. There are more people moving out and there are a number of vacancies but the economy and all. Parking is plentiful. Only once or twice have we not been able to park in front of the door.

We will probably move at next renewal depending on our financial situation but all in all its an ok place to live, good location, good staff and maintenance (in my opinion). No where is perfect but for the price I think we can do better.
