You get what you pay for

note:price we pay per month is for navy rental partnership program discount. i think it is a 5% discount
Some things that disappointed me:
needing to call for the exterminator multiple times for American Cockroaches/palmetto bugs/whatever you decide to call them and camelback crickets (mgt claimed to not to know what they were, exterminator said he had been out several times in the past YEARS for these. they actually have a once a week contract with the complex from what the exterminator said). not happy with the amount of mosquitoes and the fact that not once since we have lived here have i seen the clogged and overflowing gutters and downspouts cleaned out to eliminate major breeding grounds. not pleased with the fact that i and my neighbors THREE doors down had to resort ot calling the cops on my neighbors due to a loud sound system thumping all our walls at 2am any day of the week (mgt would do nothing). not looking forward to paying for our gas since it will no longer be included in our rent if we renew our lease. our townhouse is very drafty around the windows and doors and where the heating ducts enter our apartment. we constantly hear squirrels running around in our attic. parking is VERY limited (2 unassigned spaces per address, guests park on street or at least about 1/2 a block away). had to call navy housing to get them to turn on a/c for an 8 month pregnant asthmatic in october when indoor temp was 85degrees. also had to call housing to get screens in windows and for sliding glass door to keep mosquitoes out when windows were out while trying to get a/c turned back on. took 5 months to fix my kitchen cabinets so that i could use then without fear of them falling.
on the bright side: all the staff has been friendly, grounds look pretty decent, not too expensive once we got our military rental partnership discount.
general opinion: if you are this close to being able to afford income restricted housing, see about getting into it. about the same quality as the nicer income restricted housing i have seen in the area.
