My husband and I moved here in July, honestly this is the cheapest decent place you can get in Chesterfield county, believe me we looked everywhere. Hyde Park is nice, we live in a one bedroom garden home, its really nice, an end unit, the people above us are quiet. There is a nice area right outside where we can walk our dog. The pet fee is 20 dollars a month, not bad, I dunno why people are complaining. The split utilities is only gas and water, and honestly I feel like its more than fair, they split it by square footage, and it hasn't been bad at all. Children play outside in the afternoons, there are several nice playgrounds, a beautiful pool. Our apartment is clean and spacious, for a one bedroom. We have a washer dryed hook up with a dishwasher. We have had a few small maintence issues, but if its an emergency, the guy has always come out immediantely, otherwise he comes the next day at the latest. The office stays busy, but if you leave a message, it has never taken Julie more than 24 hrs to get back to us. My husband works nights, and its nice to live somewhere quiet and lighted that isn't super expensive, where I can feel safe. :)

Well, I am a resident here and I can understand why you are still sorry happy to be living here. You are in a one bedroom apartment so your rent is in no way close to what other people are paying including the split with the utlities and it is not only gas and water. It is gas, water and cable. And since it is based on sqaure footage and not by the number of tenants like all other apartments, your charge for the bills is again far less than the rest of us. As a matter of fact, if you are living in a one bedroom and use the same or more amount of water and gas THE OTHER tenants will have to pay for it. AND you only just moved here AFTER the FIFTH office change in two years. And you may be lucky enough to have a quite neighbor upstairs but not everyone is so lucky. Your wonderful one bedroom was the basement to the apartment upstairs about 3 years ago and so the tenants upstairs can hear just about everything from the first floor, including when you take a shower or use the bathroom. You may be lucky since the bathrooms are on the second floor far away from hearing distance from your wonderful apartment. If you are wondering why everyone is complaining, I suggest you look out your window at all the moving trucks coming in and out of the complex and ask one of the tenants why they are complaining. Oh and by the way, their was a petition to get JULIE fired because she was so horriable. We were so happy to see her go. You have no idea what you are talking about. Signed, A tenant who lived here more than 6 months so I know what I am talking about.

We've lived here almost two years now, and still love it. We are in a two bedroom now, and the rent is not bad at all, and the split utilities, including cable ends up only being like 100 a month, and its set, so it doesn't go up and down. Yes people move in and out, its an apartment within 10 miles of a military base, peoples stations change, or their jobs change and they move, that is part of living in apartments, usually people don't live there permanently. Seriously, if you are looking at living her, yes there are good and bad things to say about every place. Here its safe, the neighborhood is quiet, you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but not nearly as bad as some other places. Some people are just negative in general, you could give them a mansion to live in, and they would find a problem. I prefer to see the glass half full, my family and I have been happy and safe here for several years. If others are so miserable, why don't they move? My guess would be because this is one of the most inexpensive, safe, and decent places to live in the area, and even if they're frustrated with it, living here sure beats the alternatives lol.
