if you are considering moving to this community only come if you do not have children..i have lived here 3 years and feel like a prisoner in my apt home...the kids are not allowed to play in the tennis court area, they are not allowed to ride their bikes on the sidewalks or on the street, no skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, rip-sticks as they are not allowed..recently i was threatened with a letter that stated if my child was found on the tennis court i would be fined $100..the closest place for a child to play is at celebration park which is a mile away!!! we were recently asked for our children to play on a secluded street with no street lights and a heavily wooded area where any child molester could have a field day with them as no one would ever see anything that happened and this side street is well off of the main road and not even connected to the apt community! one other thing..we actually have residents that the management sides with that say our children "make too much noise" when playing in the courtyard. i mean children make noise when playing...it is a sad day when we despise the sound of laughing children who represent life and energy...simply put...dont come here with kids!

I am a resident at this community and have been for many years. What people must remember is that there are reasons why rules have been established. I cant tell you how many times I have wanted to play tennis with my guests, but was unable to b/c the net has been torn down. I was also hit coming out of my apt by a bike speeding through my breezeway. In line skates and scooters ARE allowed. Skateboards are banned in Sterling Glen and Hampton Park due to vehicles being hit by irresponsible riders. All of us signed a lease knowing that Celebration Park was there for our use. It takes less than a minute to get there by car! There is a playground, fishing pond, soccer/football fields, a rock climbing wall, etc.... How can you say Sterling Glen is not kid friendly??? The kids were asked to play at the dead end street (which is at the back entrance of the community in site of apt buildings and the housing community) when they were playing baseball and football so windows would not get broken! Sounds fair to me...

i have lived at sterling glen for 3 yrs and i have kids and we are always safe. i feel more safe here than any place i have lived. kids cant play in the tennis courts because it is meant for tennis. thats why its called "tennis courts." if the net is torn down at the tennis courts then let the office know. they will take care of any issue right away. the people that work for steling glen have always been very nice as well as professional. i would recommend living at sterling glen to anyone. The people who are complaining about getting in trouble for their kids playing is because they don't watch their children and they are allowed to run wild thru the community with no supervision breaking windows and such. My husband actually caught them on video after they were constantly throwing the ball at our 2nd story windows. These people think their kids can do no wrong. Try watching your kids sometimes instead of letting them run wild and stop defending them or excusing them when they destroy others property.
