A realistic review From: gradstudent07 Date posted: 7/25/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   My husband and I had a very hard time finding a place close to colonial heights since by himself he makes over the income restriction qualifications.Apartment hunting in VA is horrible if you make over 32,000. We acctually rented this apartment before seeing the inside-they were closed when we drove up from sc one day. The area is nice and for the most part quiet. We were very pleased with the apartment. I didn't have to clean anything! Except for the bathroom/toilet for hygiene purposes-but it was very clean for my standards and Im a clean freak!. No bug problems..Ive seen 2 or more spiders but harmless. If you live close to a garbage bin flies will be your enemy! thank goodness we dont. But if you leave your front door open you'll get 1 or two-so annoying. The floors are very easy to clean (kitchen/bathrooms) The mbrm has fake french doors-only one door opens the other is a window...pretty nice!. Guest room also has a door that leads to patio. Cable works fine-as normal as a dish does, if its rainy-duh -no cable. Even though cable is included, to upgrade your package you will have to be responsible for the entire bill so you'll be loosing approx 30-50 bucks a month..they dont credit you for what you're paying w/ your rent-bummer my husband use to have the sunday ticket. Management is working on getting it changed. Phone and internet are good-cavalier company. No problems with management. Sometimes you have to realize that you're not the only tenant in the world-be patient. Im studying for the GRE so Im on the property 24/7, my main concern was safety -- I have no complaints. Many kids live out there but they're not running around like maniacs!
