STAY AWAY!

I couldn t agree more with average at best posting. Everything here and in other posts is true. We didn t have car broken in, but we know about those incidents. Parking spots are tiny, half of them cannot be used when a big truck parks in one. We suggested they repaint the lines to make them bigger - do it as part of the renovation process. None done! THey couldn't care less. Took us a year to get a new refrigerator, - it was making an ice pack in the refrigerator section (not the freezer) and the food next to it would go bad from ice burn ; then once in a while it would melt into a lake in front of the refrigerator. The maintenance guys would only say too much food in the refrigerator . Do you all eat out' The roof had a leak, the ceiling got stains, they just painted it over; the stains are coming back- I circled them with pencil to keep track of the size. The ceilings got cracks -- it feels like it will fall on you any time. The bathroom is terrible. No natural light throughout, too dark. All the power outlets around the house were lose they said just spread out the plugs to make them go in tighter . The dishwasher is old and breaks every glass and cup that goes in it. The huge mirrors in the bedroom and bathroom were hanging on tiny plastic hooks - hazard! They sent one (ONE!) guy to do the job, - he would have never be able to hold the mirror and put new hooks in. Thanks to my husband being home - he had to help the guy. I can hear my neighbor above from 6 am till midnight - every single step she and her son makes! The workers doing renovation were the worst ever staring at you and laughing, leave the apartment in a mess, broke stuff around, leave the trash bottles behind and the management just says well, you have to report to us and we will take actions - well, I reported, never saw an action. Next thing the constructors did -- left the window wide open in the house for entire day on December 7 - check the temperature records -- it was the coldest day so far this winter, actually snowed a bit at 9pm. The heater was cranking like crazy when I got home. No one ever appologized or did anything to make us feel better. Safety was the last thing on their mind. And just now - after they are done with renovations 2 months later than planned, and after we signed lease extension (had to months-to-month rate was $200 more than lease rate) ... they are telling us to clear out everything from the balcony, or face lease violation. Well, they never bothered to enforce it for over 14 months that we were here. Now they are giving us TWO days to get it done. Why now' Because of the attempt to make the outside look pretty at our expense. After all the time we lived in an apartment cramped during construction (everything had to be moved away from the walls 4 feet - for 6 months!), after they cut down the size of the balconies 20 inch deep; now they want me to buy extra storage space to store my stuff' Well, they would have to tell everyone to remove everything - including the patio furniture, cause that s what the rule says on paper. But no, I asked 5 neighbors - only 3 others got the notice to remove things, but all 5 have stuff. And our of those who got the notice - got 30 days to deal with it. So its selective, which is against the law. Well, they will hear from us. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
