Remington is the worst apartment complex in all of VA/DC area. I will never rent from another Lerner owned company. The staff is rude and very unhelpful. The gates never work, the trash compactor never works. For 1 year I have had EXCESSIVE water leakage from the outside into the master bedroom. Remington has been notified that in the Winter the Master Bedroom drops 15 degrees below the other rooms. Their response was it's my fault since the apt faces the wind on two walls. In actuality there is a leak in the windows and a hole in the top of the window frame where water comes in and they have not fixed it in a year. My dryer was hooked up to vent to the outside and the vent was in the wall, however they bricked over the opening outside. For 3 months straight I called and complained that my dryer didn't work. It took 7 times to dry my clothes. Fianlly after using some choice words they came out and told me the problem and made the dryer vent INSIDE the apt. It has been 8 more months and STILL they have not fixed the vent. The apt gets hot and dirty because of this. This is DEFINITELY a firecode violation, as there is years of packed lint in the walls that could go up in flames at any time. Lerner corporation lost my checks in their check box and called me an outright liar when I pointed out I had already paid my rent. This was after paying them for 6 months with no problem. They do not afford you a break and threaten to evict you with no leeway at all. This apartment complex is the absolute worse. I do not reccommend it and infact will give my company name and phone number if you have any further questions.
