We have only lived in this community for a little over six months and we are already moving. To me, it is worth the two month separation fees in order to leave - especially with a family on the way. When we first began the rental process, the rental managers were very polite. Everything changed as soon as we signed the lease. As the primary leaseholder, I was the only person the personnel would occasionally show some politeness to. When other proxies (my fiance - also on the lease - or my father) had to step in to take care of business, the managers tended to be very rude.

We have also had many maintenance problems (as have been expressed by other tenants of this complex). When we first moved here last year, we filled out a move in sheet detailing all the issues we found with our apartment - from lack of fresh paint or freshly cleaned carpets, drafty doors and windows not properly sealed, a gas leak with the dryer... just to name a few. It took almost a month and a half for the gas leak to be repaired. The carpet cleaner showed up about three weeks after we had moved into the unit and asked us (ever so kindly) to please remove all furniture so that the carpets could be cleaned. The windows and doors have yet to be repaired. We also have some nesting birds in our exhaust fan duct from the master bath that we reported to the office a few weeks after move in... the birds will probably still be here long after we've left.

In all, I've had a very unsatisfactory experience with this complex. As someone who has lived in various communities around Virginia during the past two years, I am very disappointed with the service here. The lack of customer service and support they provide does not even approach making up for the rent they charge. Find somewhere else to live in the area... There are much better choices around worth the prices asked in the Northern Virginia area.
