This complex used to be great- but has certainly taken turns for the worse over the years.
Rent is outrageously high for what you get. While the grounds are maintained pretty well, and there are some nice amenities, I don't think that it is worth the price any longer.
Several complaints have been made by myself and other neighbors about broken down and abandoned cars in the parking lots that remain for MONTHS after complaints are filed. Forget about the security gates- they haven't worked in months, but most residents prefer this, as they take FOREVER to open and close.
Worst of all, the customer service at this complex is horrible. The office staff no longer feels the need to assist it's residents, instead they are full time "salespeople" that focus more on filling up the openings in the community. Everything is nickeled and dimed- it seems like each time I go in there for some sort of paperwork requirement, they want to charge $50 dollars here or $20 dollars there. (They wanted $50 to take a roommate off the lease and another $50 to add a new roommate)
Ignore my ratings below- I simply wanted to lower the overall score of this complex, the parking here is okay (no more than about a 75 yard walk), the grounds are okay and nicely landscaped, I have very seldom heard neighbors, and it seems reasonably safe here.
If possible, I would recommend finding another place though... We are moving into a single family home nearby and paying less rent per month than we were paying here. You can find better deals for your money than the Remington.

I just have to wonder why you stayed so long if it's so awful? Seems like a pretty petty thing to do to lower the ratings out of spite. Glad I don't have your karma dude.
