When I decided to move here I paid the deposit, signed the lease and my move in date was in August. The date was changed 3 times and the last time I wasn't told until after I rented a truck, had everything packed and had to be out of my other apartment. Management put me into a different apartment until my arartment was ready and they told me they would move me. That never happened. In fact, I sayed in the building across the street for 2 weeks and was planning on moving into my apartment on the week-end but that wasn't good enough, management made me move before then, they didn't help at all and I was told in I wasn't out by the tomorrow, they would change the locks and I couldn't get my belongings, furniture etc. This was just the start of things to come.
After I moved into the apartment I was supposed to have, which wasn't the one I was shown, everything was all right for a little while. After all the buildings were full, things started to change. Parking at my building became poor, to many cars, not enough spots and only 1 handicap spot which is always taken and I am disabled. Management decided to add a $25 a month pet fee, what this fee is for, no one knows. This is on top of the $250 pet deposit. The trash dumpsters were taked away and 1 trash compacter was installed which isn't easy for a disabled person to get to.
And to top it off I now have a mold problem which has ruined shoes, bags and now furniture. I have been reimbursed for my losses but the mold is affecting my health and the problem has to be acknowledged. This doesn't go away easily, it is on the drywall. I have been told that I transfer to another apartment when one is available but until then I breathe in mold spores daily. Lovely apartment, isn't it. I didn't want to have to move again but I may have too.

I agree about the trash compactor. It's a major inconvience.

Yeah I'm not crazy about the compactor either but we're not too far from it. I can understand if you were on the other side of the complex.

I am just looking for apartments and would like to say-if there is a mold issue you need to contact the county health department and let them come out and test the mold. A woman just won a major lawsuit over this same issue. MOLD is not to be played with-it is very dangerous. From all the apartments I have looked at this complex seems to be the best just has a few issues with some not so smart tenents.

The not so smart tenents is correctly spelled tenAnts. Thank you for the advice on contacting the county health department...that was extremely helpful, again, thank you.
