I have been here for over a year and my year here has been lovely. We have a beautiful apartment with ample room in a very woody, rustic area (which is unknown in N. VA) Pets are allowed and welcomed as it seems as if everyone here has a dog. At times it seems like the management is very lax on issues such as overcrowding in apartments (many migrant families have many people living in the same apartment, against community policy.) This gets over looked, however the tow truck is here daily. I have never had a problem with parking. My complaint is packages and response time on maintanence. It takes days for it to be done and management seems to ignore mulitple requests. We also have had to wait days for pakages that have arrived. We never receive a package slip anymore and when we visit the office, the deny ever receiving anything and then once the package is tracked, they somehow discover the missing items. Safety is never a concern. Some of the neighbors are sketchy, but that comes with apartment living. Overall Archstone Fair Lakes is a nice place to live.
