We've lived in the Archstone for 2 1/2 years now. We really enjoyed it when we first moved in. The grounds were clean, staff was nice and service calls were promptly attended to. However, since they have gone under new management things have gone completely down hill. Yeah it's nice to be surrounded by trees but lately they haven't made me feel very safe in my own home. How many of you are aware of the recent car break ins and attempted apartment break in' Of course you haven't heard because the Archstone feels it's a need to know basis. They refuse to leave lights on stating it will be to bright.
The service calls take longer than they should and I shouldn't have to call monthly to get my filter changed. THEY should be changing out filters every month!!! They send service techs to the wrong apartments and tend to think that their "handymen" can fix anything. Well sometimes you need to call someone specialized in that feel, but no, they don't want to spend the money.
Overall we are completely dissatisfied with this complex. I never in a million years would recommend it to anyone! odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

Yep, I just posted a review & completely forgot about the car break in. My roomys car was broken into apparently with a slim jim. Ripped her CD player out, stole her CHANGE (that hard up for cash huh?), and slashed one of her tires. Police report was filed, notified management as well in 2003 & not one word was ever said about it. Very unsafe neighborhood.
