Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
We lived here for a year and it was just recently taken over and re-named the Arbors at Fair Lakes. While under Archstone, we practically had no issues; the office staff was very nice (though to get anything done you had to follow-up with them because they wouldn't do it otherwise, except for maitenance issues), it was very quiet and if we ever needed maitenance help it was tended to within a couple days. This is now becoming one of the older complexes in this area but I was very satisfied with it. The bedrooms are very big compared to the newer over priced apartments with tiny floor plans. The only thing I did not like about the community is that it does not have a gym, but the pool was fine (but crap hours).
However, the management changing ultimately made our decision to move; the new staff are unfriendly and seem like they couldn't care less about your inquiries or problems. We were interested in renting another apartment here but they don't offer any type of discount for existing renters; you even have to pay another application fee so they can check your credit (clearly so they can just pocket another $100). Someone put a notice on our door that management was coming to inspect our apartment since our lease will be up soon not even 12 hours before they planned on entering our home. I thought that was pretty ridiculous.
Overall it's a decent place to live; the walls are the cheap textured type and parking can definitely be a pain. The apartments are becoming way over-priced in my opinion, but it's not a bad place to live at all. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
