I just found this site and was looking up reviews for my future Archstone apartment and couldn't believe all the negative reviews this place received. I will admit the parking on the smaller side of complex (where I lived) was horrible - my roommate and I both ended up paying for carports, yet we still ended up calling the tow truck at least 3 times each ... but that is not the community's problem - it's the residents problem for not alerting their guests of the rules. Some of the tenants were very rude, too ... one of the many times someone parked in the carport spot I paid $65(')/mo for I had no choice but to park in a visitor spot - you see I had a carport sticker and I would've been towed from a regular spot, nor were there any left - and someone left me a nasty note on my car telling me how rude they thought I was for taking a visitor spot when I could clearly park in my own spot. Hello! If I could park in my spot I PAY for idiot I would've! The other issue - alot of people in the townhouses have their guests park in our visitors spots - so that just makes things worse. I will also say the parking lot was pretty dark and the kitchens and such are a little outdated ... but the grounds were always kept gorgeous - the maintenance guys were always quick and friendly. The office staff were always friendly when I went in to pick up a package ir whatever ... they had their bad days, but don't we all' I truly loved living here and didn't really want to move - but at the time I couldn't comfortably afford to stay there on my own. I was on the top floor, end unit - so it was quite peaceful and quiet ... all in all - I really liked this place!
