People are such liars

As I posted previously to someone's rants, I think that the negative ratings come from people with unrealistic expectations of an apartment complex, or they are just a little too low class to live here to begin with. It is not a trailer park, or a bad neigborhood, so if you act up you will be treated accordingly. There is going to be a level of noise, if you can't get that, move to the country. It is nice and clean and I am raising a child here for now, and of course I would rather have a home, but until that happens, I am pleased to live in a nice environment with nice amenities. And, the area is so safe, walkable and Wegman's and Fairfax Corner are just steps away. So, to the people with other things to say have never lived in an apt, expect miracles, or just don't have any idea what they are talking about. I am a very critical person, and if I had criticisms, trust me I would say them. That being said, it is overpriced, but the whole area is like that. I am from the south and everything here costs so much more.

This community is cheap for the area, and you get what you pay for. It's a good thing the neighborhood is safe, but it would sure be nice to be able to walk across the parking lot without serious risk of injury. Unfortunately, there are so many reckless drivers and the community managers consider having pretty plants in the parking lot more important than removing blind corners, so you take your chances. There are plenty of other apartments in the same "safe neighborhood." Since you feel free to insult the other people who have posted honest, accurate reflections of their own experiences at this community, I will feel free to note that your low standards indicate that you have never lived in a genuinely nice apartment. I have lived in so many apartments, and never had one with so many noise problems. The fact that people expect to be able to park their cars when they get home, take a hot shower year-round, and sleep through the night (the types of complaints in recent posts) does not make them liars, nor does it indicate unrealistic expectations on their parts. The leasing office takes prospective tenants around the community during the day, when residents aren't home, there's plenty of open parking, and the level of ambient noise seems normal for the daytime. Those foolish enough to sign a lease all too frequently find that the situation is very different during the hours when the management office is conveniently unavailable to address problems. Prospective tenants should beware.

I agree, I honestly don't think that if you are having legitimate problems within the complex or with the management that it means that you're "too low class" to live there, as this poster suggested. It is not unreasonable to expect not to have your ceilings shake when your upstairs neighbors walk across their floor. It doesn't make you low class to feel that for the ridiculously high rent you pay every month that you should be entitled to things like hot water when you need it or appliances that function properly. I do think that sometimes people do complain just for the sake of complaining, but dismissing all complaints as false just because it's a nice neighborhood is a little much.
